WHAT IS A CLAT EXAM?
The CLAT exam, which stands for the Common Law Admission Test, is a centralized entrance examination used for gaining admission to undergraduate (LL.B.) and graduate (LL.M.) programs offered by various National Law Universities (NLUs) in India.
Administered annually by the Consortium of National Law Universities, the CLAT exam is highly competitive and serves as the primary admission test for these prestigious institutions dedicated to legal education in India. While some NLUs may consider scores from other law entrance exams, CLAT holds paramount importance in the admission process.
The CLAT exam assesses a candidate’s aptitude in various areas, including proficiency in the English language, general knowledge, current affairs, legal reasoning, logical thinking, and mathematical abilities. It’s worth noting that the exam format may undergo changes over time.
