OVERVIEW:
About SLAT: Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for undergraduate law programs. This university-level test facilitates admission to BA LLB and BBA LLB courses in Symbiosis International Deemed University (SIU) affiliated colleges. Participating institutes include Symbiosis Law School, Pune; Symbiosis Law School, Noida; Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad; and Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur. Until 2017, admissions were via the common SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test), but from 2018, SLAT became the dedicated law entrance exam. Total seats available: 1080. Mode of exam: Online.

SLAT ELIGIBILITY
Candidates must meet course eligibility before applying. Those who do not meet eligibility criteria will not be considered for admission even if they clear SLAT. Key eligibility points:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Minimum Marks: 45% (40% for SC/ST) in Class 12 or equivalent.
SLAT APPLICATION PROCESS
SLAT 2026 application form will be available online at set-test.org. Application steps include registration, form filling, document upload, and fee payment.
Online Registration & Document Upload
Register with a valid mobile number and email, then upload a passport-sized photograph.
Application Form Filling
Provide personal details, academic qualifications, and select three preferred test centers. Choose courses (BA LLB or BBA LLB) and multiple programs if desired.
Payment of Fees
SLAT 2026 registration fee: ₹2,250 per test. Additional program fee: ₹1,000. Payment can be done online or offline.

SLAT 2026 Exam Pattern
SLAT is a 1.5-hour online exam in English. 60 objective questions, 1 mark each, no negative marking. Writing Ability Test (WAT) is conducted separately for 30 minutes and evaluated by the institute. Subjects: English, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Elementary Mathematics.

SLAT 2026 Syllabus
Section 1 – English & Comprehension: Reading passages, synonyms, antonyms, idioms, phrases, word jumble, and inference-based questions to test vocabulary and comprehension speed.
Section 2 – General Knowledge & Current Affairs: Covers Indian and international current affairs, history, geography, science, economics, and civics.
Section 3 – Mathematics: Elementary mathematics including Profit & Loss, Speed & Distance, Time & Work, Algebra, up to Class X level.
Section 4 – Legal Aptitude: Law studies, problem-solving, research aptitude, torts, IPC, CrPC, strict liability, and vicarious liability.
Section 5 – Logical Reasoning: Pattern recognition, argument evaluation, syllogisms, sequences, arrangements, analogies, and puzzles.
