JEE Main 2025 Examination Notification

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025. The examination will be conducted in two sessions.

Exam Dates & Schedule

Session 1

  • Exam Dates: January 22 to January 31, 2025
  • Registration Period: October 28 to November 22, 2024
  • Admit Card Release: Three days before the exam date
  • Result Declaration: By February 12, 2025

Session 2

  • Exam Dates:  April 1 to April 8, 2025
  • Registration Period: January 31 to February 24, 2025
  • Admit Card Release: Three days before the exam date
  • Result Declaration: To be announced

Examination Details

The JEE Main 2025 exam includes two separate papers.

    • Paper 1 – For B.E./B.Tech courses
    • Paper 2 – For B.Arch and B.Planning courses

Both papers will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, except for the Drawing section of Paper 2A (B.Arch), which will be pen-and-paper-based.

Fill Application Form:

  • Provide personal and academic details
  • Upload the required documents

Fee Payment:

  • Pay the application fee online through available payment modes

Confirmation:

  • After completing the payment, save and print the confirmation page for future use.

Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification:

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2023, 2024, or be appearing in 2025

Age Limit:

  • but institutes like IITs, NITs, and IIITs may have their own specific criteria

Subject Requirements:

  • B.E./B.Tech: Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject
  • B.Arch: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in Class 12

Exam Pattern
Paper 1 – B.E./B.Tech

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
  • Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) + Numerical Value Questions
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Marking: +4 for correct, -1 for incorrect (MCQs only)

Exam Pattern
Paper 2A – B.Arch

  • Mode: CBT (except for Drawing, which is pen-and-paper-based)
  • Subjects: Mathematics, Aptitude, and Drawing
  • Duration: 3 hours

Paper 2B – B.Planning

  • Mode: CBT
  • Subjects: Mathematics, Aptitude, and Planning-Based Questions
  • Duration: 3 hours
