Engineering Exam Notification – JEE Mains 2021
ABOUT:
Joint Entrance Examination JEE Mains 2021 is conducted by NTA for admission to Admission to B.E. / B.Tech / B.Arch / B.Planning. Courses in NIT’s, IIIT’s and CFTI’s participating through Central Seat Allocation Board. It is also a prerequisite for JEE advanced.
ELIGIBILITY:
Admission in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs will be based on All India Rank subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class / Qualifying examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class / qualifying examination
IMPORTANT DATES:
JEE Mains 2021 will be held 4 times for the academic year 2021.
Application process for February cycle: 16.12.2020 to 16.01.2021
Error correction window: 19.01.2021 to 21.01.2021 (for February Session)
Exam date :
(Session 1): 23, 24, 25 & 26 February 2021
(Session 2): 15, 16, 17 & 18 March 2021
(Session 3): 27, 28, 29 & 30 April 2021
(Session 4): 24, 25, 26, 27 & 28 May 2021
A candidate has the option to apply for one Session or more than one Session (February/March /April /May 2021) together and pay exam fee accordingly. In other words, if a candidate wishes to apply only for one Session, he / she has to pay JEE Mains Examination Fee only for that Session during the current application period and will have the opportunity to apply again for the remaining March/ April / May Sessions. The application window will be re-opened briefly immediately after the declaration of the result of February / March/ April Session. Examination for the May session will be the last
TEST DETAILS:
JEE Mains 2021 is 3 hr exam. It is a computer based exam.
It will be held in 2 shifts on a day. First Shift : 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. Second Shift : 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m
For results best of the cycle scores will be considered.

MCQ questions have negative marking: 20 Q in each section , +4, -1
Numerical Entry Questions : 5 Q in each section should be attempted out of the given 10, +4 for correct answer and no negative.
In the Numerical entry question type, you will have a choice.
AIR rank will be announced after the completion of May test.

The candidates who are declared eligible for JEE (Advanced) – 2021 will have to again register later on at the JEE (Advanced) website http://jeeadv.ac.in after the declaration of the JEE (Main)-2021 score.
